Drainage channels for rail transport

Rail facilities for railways, tram lines and crane tracks require adequate drainage.

Rail tracks in traditional railways depend on efficient drainage of surface water and the accumulation of water to prevent movements in the track sub-structure. Our reinforced concrete slot units »Pfuhler Rinne« are particularly well suited for deployment in places used by both rail and road traffic; such as level crossings.

Where tram or crane tracks (which are typical for container handling facilities) are concerned, the rails are embedded in the surrounding surfaces. Rainwater, dirt, oil and lubricants collect along the rails. An efficient, reliable drainage system prevents this polluted water seeping into the soil. The safety of rail traffic and proper functioning of the railway tracks are retained.
